The
Evanston Environmental Association (EEA) is a non-profit 501(c)(3)
organization that has promoted environmental education and action in
Evanston, Illinois since the organization's beginning in 1976. The EEA
was originally formed to support the Evanston Ecology Center, the Ladd
Arboretum, and the Lighthouse Nature Center.
Our Mission Today
The Evanston Environmental
Association (EEA) is dedicated to supporting the programs of the
Evanston Ecology Center and promoting environmental awareness to the
surrounding community.
Board
The
EEA has an all-volunteer Board of Directors with a President, a Vice
President(s), a Treasurer and Secretary. The board meets on a monthly
basis and manages the activities and initiatives of the organization.
There are no paid staff.
Membership
The
EEA has a large number of members who pay an annual membership fee to
belong to the organization. There are various types of membership
available for differing fee amounts. Membership entitles individuals,
families and organizations to discounts on various EEA events as well as
other valuable benefits. The membership fees help the EEA accomplish
its organizational goals and fund various needs at the Ecology Center.
